Kids Belly Dance

Suhaila's Belly Dance offers a unique program for kids. Our Belly Dance Classes are fun and challenging. The belly dance program focuses on the language of The Suhaila Salimpour Format and The Jamila Salimpour Technique. Both of these technique's are the language for proper form, alignment, and musicality.

The focus is on the student's personal needs in allowing them to explore and develop individually in the art of belly dance both technically and emotionally.

Building on the work and include preparation for a recital to be held at the end of the session.

Attire: Students should wear jazz pants and a form fitting t-shirt. Bare feet are fine, but ballet shoes or jazz shoes may also be worn. Hair should be pulled back off the face.


Teen Belly Dance

Suhaila's Belly Dance offers a unique program for teens. Our Belly Dance Classes are fun and challenging. The belly dance program focuses on the language of The Suhaila Salimpour Format and The Jamila Salimpour Technique. Both of these technique's are the language for proper form, alignment, and musicality.

The focus is on the student's personal needs in allowing them to explore and develop individually in the art of belly dance both technically and emotionally.

Building on the work and include preparation for a recital to be held at the end of the session. We also offer our teen to be able to audit Suhaila Dance Company Rehearsals from time to time.

Consider: Parents might also consider enrolling their teen in Dance Movement classes held on Monday nights and Saturday afternoons. Dance Movement classes help develop poise, balance, strength and flexibility.
